Mindfullness

Mindfulness refers to the form of meditation wherein a person is urged to focus on his current state. This meditation involved mainly proper breathing that anyone would be interested to learn, perhaps.

Mindfulness is also essential for poker players as it allows an individual to be calm and related. Below is an exercise that would help an individual develop mindfulness that poker players would want to employ.

1. First, determine your most comfortable posture in a place where distraction would not greet you. Usually, people doing this exercise sit comfortably in a chair with their feet flat on the floor.

2. And then, try to close your eyes while thinking that you are sitting at the bottom part of a pool of water. Think of a feeling and consider this as a bubble that is slowly rising away from your position, and would gradually disappear. Do not think of what is inside the bubbles. You just have to observe it. You may see several bubbles coming, just watch them as they passes by your eyes—in your imagination at least.

3. If you do want to imagine yourself in a pool of water, you may try imagining you are sitting at the bank of a river. And then, imagine a leaf falling near the stream. Observe the leaf just like the instruction on bubbles on the previous number.

Relaxing music on the background would make this meditation exercise more interesting.

Poker players may find this helpful since mindfulness is essential in playing poker. You may consider this as another technique that you use over your opponent since meditation gives you the chance of thinking with a clear mind. You might be surprised to win big pots after trying exercises on mindfulness.
